MedAI Course for Healthcare Professionals
In 2024, the MedAI course hosted 18 clinicians – physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals. During the course, participants have learned a structured, code–free introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in medicine. The course was designed for applicants without prior programming experience and focused on building conceptual understanding of core ML and AI principles, including predictive versus descriptive models, supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, decision trees, neural networks, and clustering methods. Through interactive discussions, hands on exercises using user friendly tools, and applied case studies, participants explored real world medical AI applications such as monitoring systems, clinical prediction, and large language models. The course emphasized critical evaluation of AI in healthcare through SWOT analysis and interdisciplinary collaboration and concluded with independent data driven projects that empowered clinicians to confidently engage with AI supported research and clinical decision-making.
